Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
In 'Ford vs Ferrari', it looks like the property master was able to track down Peter Brock's original styling buck for the Daytona. And you'll see one of the actual Daytonas casting it's shadow across the interior of Shelby American's shop while Ken Miles listens to one of the GT-40 races on the radio.

There are many great histories of the birth of the Daytona Coupes, but one that stands out for me is that after amazing everyone with the triumphant trial run, nobody would spend the time to build the spoiler that Pete had designed for it, just slapping on quick experiments and then freezing the design.

Brand new Lexus ( couldn’t see model number) but it has very extreme separation edges or “ baby box cavities”

If you ignore that fact that they were invented prior to 1939.

Well a lot of good aero was done back in the day. I’m just saying it seems like companies are trying to incorporate them again into some modern styling now

The Cobra Daytona Coupe was what the Chaos theorists call a 'local maxima'. Downhill both ways from there.
Bestest cavity ever.

Yes that one looks very nice. I really enjoy the cavity they having going on the Mercedes EQXX and the LED strip outline. And then the extended rear diffuser is just a cherry on top when it comes out

Pete Brock designed the Daytona coupe, and almost everyone was sceptical, and unwilling to support a 200 lb weight increase. Then Ken Miles took it to Riverside for a quick test, and it was so fast he verified the axle ratio before he could believe the improvement. However, when a rear spoiler was indicated, they just kludged something together quick, and never did build the one Pete had designed as part of that rear cavity.
