And the good folks at PhlatBoyz are making a big design revision to the PhlatPrinter 3 (that I used to cut the foam for CarBEN EV5) including making it out of aluminum, and making it open source:

I saw the Handibot in action at the Bay Area Maker's Faire this year and my jaw dropped ... what a brilliant idea ! Since the position can be indexed, the size of the workpiece is essentially limitless. Had no idea there was a kit form available through PhlatBoyz too ; Very Cool! Thanks for the link!
