bike mirrors

Their distance from the side glass is exactly what we're interested in,however the housings which hold the mirror might want some additional depth. At least a hemisphere's worth.
The supporting struts should be completely streamlined themselves and their root should blend into the body to prevent horseshoe vortice formation at the door boundary.

That's some serious camber

I'd hang those mirrors upside down off the tops of the A-pillars.

With mirrors that small on such narrow stalks, does moving them to top of the A-pillar make THAT much of difference? I know the A-pillar base transition is bad but I didn't think that there would be gains in moving them.

Or are me talking about 0.00001 benefit in drag?

At least that much benefit in drag.

I'm presuming the driver's eye is closer to the top than the bottom of the A-pillar.

i will suggest to him moving it. the reason for small mirrors here is not for drag but rather to reduce blinds spots and judge apexes better.
