Iphone app's for saving and tracking gas

Not a fan of the iphone, too proprietary and crippled out of the box. Our friends in asia have had phones that mop the floor with the iphone so I really don't see what the big deal is (Except that the corporations have figured out how to prevent those phones from working here and most consumers are in the dark, yay).
