My friends family recently built a house for his 80something grandma. I never understood why, but it seemed like a key aspect that they were going to have an "air exchanger" on the house. Said it was sized so that it could replace all the air in the house in 8 hours, and was somehow made to minimize heat/cooling losses so that it could be used on the hottest or coldest days.... I'm guessing now, they didn't want to hear the word stuffy
