Chris D, you and this site got me started on this FE thing too. I recently looked at my financials and gas is my biggest expense! So time to cut down. I got a 2.4L auto Reg Cab taco and I'm up to your challenge. I drive lots of city streets to work though, so that's gonna be tough, but I'm learning and adapting.

Welcome to the site! Post an intro thread and start a fuel log so we'll all be able to track your progress!

Right on brotha!

You've got me at a disadvantage.. weight.. the regular cab it
about 3 - 400 pounds lighter if I've heard right off of CustomTacos..

But all that city driving mite even things out..
Right now I'm about 40% City / 60% Highway..

To do that fuel log deal, its up on the top section where it sais EM Garage.
When you gas up, make sure (if possible) that you fill the tank till its full and let the pump shut off by itself... Dont force it to round up the price.. That'll give you less mpg #'s if you force more fuel into an already full setup..

Any mods to your truck?

Glad ya came on here
I didn't want to be the only cat with a Taco on the site

Don't do that - that just adds weight to your vehicle.

Did anyone notice Chris is taking pictures of his odometer while the car is going 55mph? In about half of the photos the odom needle is at 55mph!

Yup, thats one of the ways I brought my numbers up..
Less speed and the truck doesn't have to fight against the wind as much..
