Just got a KZ440

Look what I just got!

1981 Kawasaki KZ440 - needs a little carbuerator work, but pretty good condition otherwise!

I'm kinda excited about it.

Sweet! My friend used to have one just like it, but he had a Vetter fairing on it and saddlebags. I had a KZ400 and we used to go riding all the time (30 years ago). Mine had 1 less gear than his and he would be loping along at 55 mph while I was getting my hands numb from the buzzing. Anxious to see what great things you do with it.

I think we should have a poll about what you should turn it into!

Had a couple of KZ400's from the mid 70's and I enjoyed them. Put some Keihin FCR's on that thing. I did on my current bike and MPG went up 50%!

Regarding the poll: keep it and ride it as is! You already have the electro-bike, so that could be used for short trips. This one could be used when you need a little more range.

I've definately considered that.

Another thing I thought about was building a generator side car or trailer using the LP genny I experimented with as part of the Metro hybrid project.

Get a small windshield as it will dramatically increase riding enjoyment at higher speeds

Use it as a group EV project, then sell it after conversion (if anyone will pay a reasonable dollar for it), and use the funding to finance another group project?

I like group projects... can you tell?
