Hey my name is Joel and I am from Sweden, currently living in Lithuania but will move back to Sweden in about 2 months.

Since I got my driving license 16 January 2008, I have been interested in keeping a low fuel consumption while driving. This is something that was part of the education in the carschool were I took some lessons.

It hasn't always been done very seriuosly though. But I am learning.

In 2012 my wife and I bought a Toyota Yaris -04 1.0. My choice of car came after been driving a Yaris in my job. I have been working from time to time with driving newspaper early mornings and driving the Yaris was a lot of fun and very comfortable, also its fuel consumption was impressive (This was a diesel).

As there is many starts and stop you can anyway by planning ahead get a consumption of about 5.6 L/100KM easily. On weekend people sleep a little bit longer and then I have had the chance to make some records, and hitertho 4.2 L/100KM withstands.

My experiences with this car in work, made us buy it.

So now I found this forum and am very happy for that. Eagerly looking forward to learn more!

Welcome to the forum, Joel.

I've often thought that delivery people would be very interested in optimizing their vehicle/driving patterns. But not the ones I usually see!

Lucky you to be able to get a diesel Yaris.

Well thank you all! I need to clarify one thing, the Yaris I drive at work is a diesel, and my personal one is with gasoline.

We made this choice because at that time, the price for diesel was actually more expensive than gasoline, and so is the yearly tax for the car.

Even though I love diesel engines, but some time you cannot afford everything you want.
