Kammback

The only aerodynamic mods I've made to any of my cars is a grill block on the '88 Escort Pony, but have been considering also doing a Kammback on it. My question is, is there a typical number of degrees slope it should have coming off the existing roof? I was thinking probably no more than 15-20 degrees, but can anyone verify the best angle?

Ford Man,do a Search EcoModder.com at the page top for 'Aerodynamic Streamlining Template Part-C.'
This thing is designed specifically for projects like yours.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Get your car on level ground with a couple friends inside to ballast it to 'road' conditions, then find the tottering point of a bubble level on the roof of the car,or where a ball-bearing will stand still. This will be the highest point of the roof.Your point of max. roof camber.
Based on the height of your car when ballasted, you can find the elevations at a number of points from the scale of the 'Template'.
You're looking for proper curvature, not really 'angles.'

12-15 degrees is the sweet spot. smaller is better then higher, to high and you loss all the benefit.
