Didn't find a schematic either after browsing the Ryobi website. Why would some other website have schematics but not the manufacturer?

maybe because Ryobi didn't make it, they just bought a chinese clone and hung labels?
Ok looked inside my drills. The p2000 and the P 214 both have a large head screw that is obvious as heck.

I gave the chuck some good whacks with a rubber mallet, and it didn't budge. Pretty sure I got the only drill Ryobi makes that doesn't have a screw inside.

Just because I could..... I went and looked and they all have a metric slotted screw listed doesn't say Lh threads.
The retaining screw goes back at least 55 years that I know of. Left hand screws on threaded morse chucks.
It's a really odd chuck on a one off model. Hmmm shouldn't be non responsive to hammer whacking if it moved off unless it's a press fit straight shank. Should warm it up some then whack (gently)

This seems to be true. Looked at a couple of other brushless models, and one not, and they all had that identical screw to what are in both of my older ones.
No model P252.
