Kill switch died

My kill switch broke the other day. I got only 23.6 MPG driving home from work on Friday. Given the temperature, wind, and traffic on that day, I would have got about 36 MPG if the kill switch had been working.

On a subsequent highway run, the lack of a kill switch cost me only about 1-2 MPG. Anyway, I found a replacement at Radio Shack yesterday and installed it.

I estimated that I use that switch 110 to 150 times in an average week. That's about 25,000 actuations in the four years since originally installed.

Funny- awhile back someone remarked on how you'll probably press the clutch several million times in your life. Weird how that stuff adds up.

Impressive.

I've come to the conclusion that a kill switch is the best mod I can make for the TSX. What is the preferred way to kill an engine? I'm thinking cut power to the fuel injectors?

Radio Shack sells that particular switch in a pack of two. There's a writeup on where and how I installed the switch at http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...yon-17070.html

Hey, do you have any pictures of your micro switch installation or want to explain how you installed it? I assume it's connected to the clutch

I think the term is used differently on this side of the pond or I used it generically.

took a look at the package:
it said micro switch.... I think they are referring to size. in was in the bin down from small and tiny switches at radio shack.
