Nope. Northern Nevada. You know, desert? Like maybe 8 inches of precipitation per year?

So what kinds of grasses grow there naturally?

4 months out of the year the grass is brown. We might go 3 months during the summer with no rain. 2 months we have the perfect amount, and then the other 6 months we have too much water.

We're in the just right season now, where the grass needs to be mowed every 5 days.

I've got this faucet timer.

Maybe I'll mock up 2 of the popups above ground using hoses and adapters to see if it'll work. That probably makes the most sense.

Anyhow, I'd like to hear your 2 cents.
Are you expecting good results without posting a landscaping plot plan? What are the dimensions of the L? What's on the inside; a sidewalk around a garage?

With what we have to work with, I suggest a brass Rainbird on a 8ft length of 3/4" pipe, possibly at the corner of the garage with a shield to deflect it off the sidewalk. with a pressure reducer and a 270° sweep it will cover the yard. But in wildfire conditions you can knock out the stop and crank it up to wet down an 80ft circle.

Two small ground level 90° sprinklers at the far corners to fill in.
