Laptop cooling pad provides too much air?!

I had the heater repaired today. Repairman said that the circulation water was dirty. And adfer the process there was about a cup of the dirty water. I asked what the contamination was. (Water was fairly black). He said it is filth. I asked if it is soot or rust? He said soot.

I dipped a magnet in the water. And it sucked up all the particles in the liquid. So it must be iron based.
