A few times a year every ear I hear or see a story of "the car stalled, went out of control and crashed". No the car didn't go out of control, thr person didn't know how to control the vehicle with out power assistance the car will still stop answer steer it just takes a lot more force to do it with manual power.

i stalled my hybrid many times but I do have emergency back up power installed for the electrical Power steering and braking system...

What is the speed difference in pulse and glide? Is it 5 mph?
Also consider avoiding a roof rack unless you are carrying things inside a canoe.
