Yup, I run max. timing advance. Also higher energy density than ethanol blends (premium has no ethanol).
But it's just for the good numbers; it probably makes no economic sense. (If I burned more fuel in a year, I might not do it.)

What do you set your base timing too? I actually dont care about saving the money....only getting max fuel economy. Thats the fun part for me anyhow.

I never figured out how to jumper the right pins to set the base timing properly on my '98 (it's different than the older cars).
So I just twist the distributor. And it's currently twisted as far forward as it goes. I'll probably have to back it off a bit in the summer heat.

Hahahah......I just noticed...there is another guy on here named redneck that also named his metro little blue!! What are the chances? Hmmmmm might have to think of a new name for my car now.....

Well... I put in the kill switch and you were of course right metrompg. Seein trip av in the 4s now.....only up from here I hope!! Did an injector kill... I little slower to kill than im used to, going from multiport to throttle body. But it works.
And I changed my name to straight blue redneck. Little blues shoes are to hard to fill!! Hah

4 litre sorry...mid to high 4s in the city on the sg anyway.... well see how this tank turns out. Just reading your boat tail thread...... really like the telescoping cup idea.... wheels are turning
