Nice! Sorry about not getting pictures up. My younger brother rolled his Subaru this week in a one vehicle accident. He's okay, but now everything is a mess and I'm behind on getting work done. And I ended up having to work christmas eve day. So I'm all sorts SOL!
Looks like Maisto makes some nice cars!

Don't be sorry, family first in all things. Now I'm in a Maisto-frenzy. Walgreens has them so I will be hunting for the Honda Insight in the weeks and months to come.

The execution is cheesy, but this is a concept car. Maisto likes to license concept car designs. The 2001 Pontiac Rev has 2003 Pontiac Vibe cargo racks and the dual air scoop :
2001 Pontiac REV - Concepts
Therefore, I think I see some Pontiac Rev DNA in the Pontiac Vibe.

Oh yeah, I can see PLENTY of Vibe in there (or vice versa). The roof rails, headlight 'swoosh' back, the fog lights, lower bumper, the A shaped D pillar, and the shape of the front of the cabin.

Hello -
I was in the Dollar Tree today and I bagged these :
I didn't know Matchbox made the EU Civic, but it makes sense, since they used to be a UK company. Both of these are from the "Metro Rides" line. From what I can tell the Type R was made in 2008 and the Insight was made in 2009. The Insight has a license plate that says "FUELSVR". If you don't have a Dollar Tree nearby, you might find them at Target.

I have a 2010 Insight and a 2008 Prius. Funny thing on the Prius - it's right hand drive!
I haven't picked up a Tesla yet, but want to.

The Japanese drive on the correct side so that would be, er, correct ?
Quote:
About a quarter of the world drives on the left, and the countries that do are mostly old British colonies. This strange quirk perplexes the rest of the world; but there is a perfectly good reason.
In the past, almost everybody travelled on the left side of the road because that was the most sensible option for feudal, violent societies. Since most people are right-handed, swordsmen preferred to keep to the left in order to have their right arm nearer to an opponent and their scabbard further from him. Moreover, it reduced the chance of the scabbard (worn on the left) hitting other people.
Furthermore, a right-handed person finds it easier to mount a horse from the left side of the horse, and it would be very difficult to do otherwise if wearing a sword (which would be worn on the left). It is safer to mount and dismount towards the side of the road, rather than in the middle of traffic, so if one mounts on the left, then the horse should be ridden on the left side of the road.
In the late 1700s, however, teamsters in France and the United States began hauling farm products in big wagons pulled by several pairs of horses. These wagons had no driver's seat; instead the driver sat on the left rear horse, so he could keep his right arm free to lash the team. Since he was sitting on the left, he naturally wanted everybody to pass on the left so he could look down and make sure he kept clear of the oncoming wagon’s wheels. Therefore he kept to the right side of the road.
In addition, the French Revolution of 1789 gave a huge impetus to right-hand travel in Europe. The fact is, before the Revolution, the aristocracy travelled on the left of the road, forcing the peasantry over to the right, but after the storming of the Bastille and the subsequent events, aristocrats preferred to keep a low profile and joined the peasants on the right. An official keep-right rule was introduced in Paris in 1794, more or less parallel to Denmark, where driving on the right had been made compulsory in 1793.

I think it's time we were top country again, the rest of the world is chaos I tell you, chaos. When the world was pink...

I've got three Prius/Prii/Priuses, just picked up the Insight, and have a Tesla Roadster, and a Chevy Volt. One Prius is a Matchbox '08 one, the next two are by TOMY. One is the 2nd gen, the other is the 1st generation. Also, a little treat I made myself, was a Tahoe Hybrid in white.
And of course, I have two Matchbox Vibes. One will be repainted, and put on a Zip-Zap chassis.
