If we could get everyone - this is obviously a wish from deep in the Fantasy Zone - driving minimalist cars, we wouldn't need so much in terms of crash protection.
If we take some lessons from Velorex and a few more from Folbot
we could make a sleek shape that cut through the air with minimal resistance, didn't weigh any more than absolutely necessary, and minimized our power requirements.
If we can make a shape this hydrodynamic
with nothing more than a few stringers and some Tyvek, can't we make a car body too? And get down the road at a decent pace with nothing more than a Briggs & Stratton 15-hp motor.
