Insulated Antifreeze/coolant tank

I was sitting here thinking, is there a way to make a insulated coolant/antifreeze tank. Its purpose being to hold or prolong the heat, longer stops grocery store, movie theater, etc. It would be nice to not have to warm up car to operating temps from a start each time. Have a tank that holds 1-2 gallons, that stores that hot fluid for 2-3 hours. I believe I read about Prius's having this on them.

I was thinking about this as well. My idea was to plumb an insulated reservoir into the heater hose. It wouldn't be as effective as the active system in the Prius, but it would help for a few hours. Added benefit - you'd have quicker cabin heat.
