Looking For Cheap Insight
Few dings, few paint chips is great.
Dead IMA battery is good too.
Prefer 5 speed model.
Something that moves under it's own power is good.
Willing to drive / fly a bit if the price is right.
Budget of 1500 or so, hoping to get one on the road this summer instead of racking up miles on the wagon.

$1500's kind of pricey. Most cheap insight goes for about two cents...

I know of a silver 5 speed with good crapes on both sides, about 180,000 miles and the second gear grind for $2,000. I think there's plenty leeway to get the price down because of the exterior damage. It's either in NY or the (Midwest?) Wisconsin area.

Ill trade you my gen 2 with phev kit for your Subaru. I was actually looking for a full size sedan, about same blue book value like an impala, charger or such.
I think all the gen 1 are over priced for what you get.

Plan to keep the Sube. Just don't want to put ~20k miles on it this summer.
Figure the insight will pay for itself with summer road tripping in it.
John: Wow, already have a few good leads. Thanks!
Sheepdog: If it passes state inspection I don't care. Dents are fun, means I can drive into my friends cars when they're not moving at a stop light.

I still think that an Insight would make a great boat tail for a Subaru!
