Hi, this is my first post here

I joined here some time ago and have been stopping back to read and soak up some of the wonderful knowledge found here.

stopping in tonight looking for info on the mpguino I just ordered.
and I thought I should say Hi before asking questions.

If there is a mpguino forum I will also post the question there.
Question:
If the engine is killed while gliding in the car what will mpguino show?
will it stop recording? To the point: Will mpguino show the mileage going up while the engine is off and car is moving?

Welcome to EM.

The MPGuino will indeed track mileage weather the car is on or off. When it is wired, it is wired into a constant 12V source, so it never turns off (only the backlight turns on and off).

Edit: I should clarify. The MPGuino will track mileage weather the car is on or off. However, if the car is off (key in the OFF position), there is no voltage going to the speed sensor, so the guino gets no signal and thus can not track mileage. As soon as you turn the key back to on, the sensor has voltage and the guino continues to log. This can all be avoided with a kill switch though.

OK, I am on the map.
Not as many pins on the map as I would have expected. by adding my Pin I have doubled the count for Minnesota.

Yeah, there are about 4-5 other users in MN but they haven't posted their pins

Congrats on getting your MPG signature setup too.
