That would depend on the shape. Some are more sensitive to Reynold's numbers than others.

Rather than try to deal with curved glass, why not do it like the raptor and build a split windshield with radiused metal/fiberglass edges?

Is that a center-seat driver config? With a big bar right in the field of vision...

In all fairness I should say flat windshield configurations are not inherently visually disgusting; in fact there are many that I really like.
But those Moslers, good lord, that guy must be blind.

Ohh man, Frank's going to hurl on this one. I was noodling on the cabin night before last (morning really) but since I saw botbasher's mad modeling skills I kinda figured I'd be leaning on him a lot and didn't need to show this stuff...but then the subject came up. I intend a split windshield for the (removable) coupe cabin, and I think it could look good and work well drag-wise, but as far as the look good part goes, I'm in way over my head. But you're my friends so I'll let you look. You can even tease me.
BTW the roof line is at 41.75 inches from the ground surface, 5" ground clearance.

Botsapper found, he's busy with work etc right now and we'll be seeing him back on ecomodder when he gets a break. Man, he's got killer CG3D skills, eh? I might as well wait for his modeling help before I do the big body carve, since it would take me years to feel qualified again (I was so smug before he showed me what was possible) and my foam carving needs a tune-up anyway. You know how annoying jaggies are on the screen? Well they're worse when duplicated on a big block of styrofoam.

A wedge fore-body or windshield like that creates unstable flow accelerations, jeopardizing attachment at the roof and A-pillar transition.
The $3,000 GTP laminated safety-glass windshield would be worth it.
