Here’s an Ioniq I saw in the rain. I filmed it in slow no but it didn’t upload that way. Go to the video settings/gear icon and switch the play back speed to slow mo. Interesting air flow

The velcro does allow repositioning, somewhat. The tape doesnt.

'foam'
Is the 'foam' a polyurethane foam rubber?, of something like a polyisocyanurate, rigid foam, as used in thermal insulation?

It’s very dense but can squeeze if going over a pot hole or something. Was thinking of using a yoga block but this is cheap and a free mock up material

Tried drafting one yesterday on The freeway. Got 3 car lengths back and noticed I could back way off the throttle, like sitting behind a semi trailer.
Thought it would be more like nothing in front but semi turbulent still air.

Are you going to create 'cod's-heads' for in front of the tires?
They would be an insurance policy to optimize the boat-tails ( they're of no value if submerged within turbulence ).
Please re-visit the underbody views of Volkswagen's L1 and XL1.

Given the choice, start with leading spats?

Well all of the wheel already come with built in “ wheel deflectors”. Granted they are just angled and curved flaps versus long slopes. Really concerned about filling in the wake of the wheels. A lot of ice would deposit and build up before the wheels during the winter when snow driving too
Stole this image from a video Julian uploaded a few weeks ago. First time in over a year. But look at the wheel wake and turbulence. It’s crazy. Most low quality cfd simulations always ignore the wheels but this one is rendered for the full vehicle.
