I've searched for all the different diff ratios the car came with. Including the 1.4 petrol and 1.6 diesel versions. And the diff I have has the longest ratio (3.27). So changing the ratios has to be done with tires sizes.

This week I went on with modding the underside. (excuse for the crappy phone pics)

There was still a big hole/opening left in front of the rear axle. The diffusor was sort of catching all the air.

So I took some leftover metal and plastic and build the next section of the undertray. The axle can still move free but is covered now. The last of this part of the undertray has almost the same angle as the diffusor.

I have cut some smooth wheelcovers for the front wheels out of coroplast, but I did not have enough to make rear wheelcovers. So instead I will make some rear wheel skirts. (will mount those after the car is alligned)

I'm going on holiday in two weeks so have just enough time to make a full kammback. Today I bought a 1m x 1,5m polystyreen sheet and some aluminium which should get me a long way.

Haha When I first got it I to was doing 20 MPG. Now after four years I'm hoping to break 40 MPG.

(I recently sold my turbo that I was planning to put on the car, now it's MPG over MPH)

Hey folks, the good thing is when tweaking aero to get good MPG, you also get more MPH if needs be ;-)

MPG quest is just seek for reducing waste (up to a point)

Would you fancy doing a 20° kamm back all around the trunk in the bumpers width ?

This link is to get the story complete. http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ack-29389.html

I'm not using the car much anymore, but will hold on to it for spirited driving purposes (circuit, autox). Plans for this winter are installing a Mazda Miata rear axle to get rid of the live axle.

Too bad but it was not the good horse to put your efforts in if you're after mpg.

That being said, have fun
