What is the best way to use the waste heat from our ICE engines, to improve overall fuel efficiency? I've seen the attempts, but none seem to go far enough on the heat issue by using the cooling jacket water and the exhaust heat. This is one of the main approaches I was using in my Auto X-Prize car. In early experiments I was able to "make" steam in less than one minute, and I have found high performance air tool turbines which look like a good starting point, if going the turbine route.
