Material for LGB

What is a good material to make a lower grill block out of? I want to make it hardly noticeable\factory look? Something that can be found locally cheap as well...

A sign maker is a good choice. Even better is a sign maker supplier, but a local sign shop will do just fine. A custom order of black coroplast cost me all of $1/square foot.
