mazda3 mpg?

well I've been considering buying a 2004 ish Mazda 3 instead of my Saab 9-5 what are some of you getting for fuel economy
Would be a 5 speed

If you go to the Garage link, and type in Mazda 3 2004, you can find some results.
EDIT: lots of options for filtering by year, engine size and trim level too!

Avoid the 2.3L and get the 2.0L engine, it's more fuel efficient. There are several options for transmissions and final drive gears.

The Ford Focus shares a lot in common with the Mazda3. Engine, transmission, and even the suspension. The Focus has taller gears and lower profile cam. The Mazda3 has VVT though.
