Media looking for economy car enthusiast/ecomodder/hypermiler in southern Ontario

I got a media request for a video interview in conjunction with the upcoming launch of the 2014 Mitsu Mirage. I declined, but offered to put the word out for other candidates.

My sense is they're looking for an economy car enthusiast who has an interesting small vehicle to present as a comparison/counterpoint to the new Mitsu, which in many ways is a revival of the economy car recipe that we haven't seen in some time: small, simple, light weight, small displacement, excellent economy, low cost.

If you're a decent hypermiler, and have done some mods to your subcompact car, you'll probably make a good candidate.

I'm going to post on geometroforum as well.

If you're interested, get in touch with Nicholas at: nick dot maronese ...at... bell dot net.

Would it help to be in Southern Ontario?
I meet the rest of the requirements about equally well...

I hate to mention it, but I think that they should do a braking test between a Mirage and a Metro. I sure hate braking, nothing good about it, just better than damage, death, and dismemberment, but the Mirage sounds much safer.

I think they're in Toronto, so Mesa might be a bit of a stretch!

I'm pretty sure we're going to see more than a couple of comparisons between the Mirage/Metro in the next couple of months. It would be interesting to see performance numbers like braking/accel/cornering too.
