(mis) Alignment Uncovered
So i noticed my steering wheel started to "shake" once i got to highway speeds. I hardly ever drive on the highways as ATL traffic is nasty commute on highways - I have no idea when this actually started.
But I have a road trip for work end of this week and did not want to spend 6 hours driving with a shaking wheel.
I took it to our local Firestone place - they have always treated me and our cars well. Asked for oil change and and a free alighment check.
Below is are some pics of what he found once he lifted the car in the air.
(all 4 were bad - but this one was the worst)
Needless to say - yes the alighment was a little off.
Now i regularly check the tires for wear - but i realize i am only checking probably the outside half as i look down at the wheels.
I never thought to look at the inside. Seems pretty obvious now though.
I wonder how many MPG i was "scrubbing" off the tires?
Now to Pressure Up these new tires for the roadtrip - Bring brand new - i am thinking to go to Max Sidewall just incase there is something "off" with them
