... the only plausible argument I found too. Yet I share our car with my wife, but - luckily due to same height probably - there is no need to adjust it either.
never mind

Ain't both CVTs made by Jatco?

Correct. The CVT-7 a newer transmission from JATCO, and does not have the horrible failure rate of Nissan's older CVT's.
It's used on the Mirage, Versa Note, Chevrolet Spark, and a number of other JDM cars.

Just another bell and whistle to break. The power mirrors on my 1997 Ford F150 failed years ago so now I have manual adjust mirrors on the truck with a useless adjustment doodad in the door.

Y-O-Y sales defy the critics
Sales of the 6th gen Mirage in the U.S. have increased every year since it debuted:
- 2935 ... 2013 (partial year)
- 16,708 ... 2014
- 21,515 ... 2015
- 22,226 ... 2016
- 22,386 ... 2017
Total U.S.: 85,770
What are the critics missing in this picture?
That's highly unusual for an aging model. (Though 2017 was undoubtedly helped by the addition of the sedan, otherwise the total probably would have dropped.)
The Canadian picture on the other hand has followed the expected pattern - the first full year was its peak.

He calls the Fit slow in his review? A '15 Fit MT has a 0-60 of 7.9s.
What a time to be alive when a sub 8 second 0-60 is slow.
I have a blast in my 10.6s (when the hybrid battery was new) Honda Insight. The Mirage is either 10.6s or 10.9s depending on the transmission.
And what the heck does "crashy" even mean?
3-bangers FTW!

Ha! True.
I can't get over the few commenters who call the Mirage DANGEROUSLY SLOW.

I've been raised around 1.0L-engined penalty boxes and I don't even consider those to be "dangerously" slow. Okay, also grew up learning to shift gears manually, while the bunch of couch-potatoes who whine about the Mirage being slow eventually can't even shift at all. But what would them expect, an entry-level model to be fitted with some fancy dual-clutch automated transmission?
