Monster Moon Caps

Saw these on a truck I was following on my way in to work this morning.

I didn't see any other modifications to the trailer or cab and I wonder what kind of results this nets.

It also makes me want to get a set for my car...

Those look similar to an Ecomodder who's a trucker for a living. The outfit he works for bought them. But I think his version had 4 holes around the center cap to get at the bolts.

EDIT: I take that back, I see the 4 center holes. They're just blurry.

super-singles or duals?

Can anyone tell what style of wheel/tire? Super-singles or duals?
The big fatty's save fuel even without the MOONs.
I've no data for the single wheelcover mod without other mods to a truck,so I'm worthless to you there.I certainly like the spirit of the gesture, whatever the outcome.

FWIW, "MOONEYES," the originator of the Moon hubcap, sells stock
sizes from 10 in. to 19-13/16 in. diameter.

Of note is they can do special order sizes up to 46 in.

...they ALSO sell ones that have "edge" fingers to clip onto the rim, instead of having to be "screwed/fastened" onto the rim...but, neither have access holes for valve-stems so you can check/fill air pressure (darn!).
