They are claiming a cd of .118. I'll be waiting for proof.

There is no way in hell the quoted CD is accurate.
Maybe if they count the duct as frontal area, but that would be kind of cheating...

Yeah, I thought somebody already posted on this bike. But no matter... these speed records are definitely part of how we accomplish the transition away from ICE dependence. Speed is part of the formula... also convenience, a "cool" or "classy" factor, and safety... the more these technologies do to win a share of that terrain away from the ICE vehicles' rep, the more we'll see these EVs out on the roads. I will miss the gasoline engine, but there are more important things to attend to. And maybe I can convert my old "Black & Green" someday.

One wonders about a motorcycle with a ducted fan and rear wheel drive. Which would be more efficient?

Or a duct with a Coanda nozzle at the front like a Dyson fan.

Or plasma actuators in the duct for an 'afterburner'.

duct area

No peer review would allow anything other than 'projected area', and that would require that the optical 'void' in the front/rear elevation view be factored into the net measurement.
PS The 1990 Lyon-Becker BMW LSR MC Streamliner that I crewed on at Bonneville was Cd 0.11.
Cd 0.118 may be a 'record' within the context on only 'electric motorcycles' category in the comparison.
E-Z-HOOK had a Cd 0.103.
