Mpguino use with mechanical diesel

Hi all

As far as I can tell, the only issue with being able to generate a "fuel use" pulse is the lack of available flow meters at reasonable prices.

There are a a few marine sensors that have the required flow rates for my kubota d722 in my motorbike but they aren't that cheap.

If another arduino or a dedicated circuit can be used to deduct return flow pulses and then feed it real-time into the mpguino, this should work right?

The trick I've been running into is a sensor that runs slow enough for our flow rates..
This one was originally listed as low enough for our use with accuracy the control box would be extraneous.

Ignoring the price, this one seems to meet the right specifications.

In additoin, one could reroute the fuel system so that a return sensor is not required.

If you route the return flow back to the inlet flow after the sensor, then the sensor will see all the fuel:
