I don't think that one of my old friends ever listened to the radio. She was too busy going through her music library and texting while driving.

1997 HX autotragic in Phoenix with 185,000 miles for $2,000

When I saw autotragic I closed the e-mail, but then I thought:

https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/c...446598199.html
Assuming the heater core and blend door are operating within specified parameters, unlike my Camry, and it isn't leaking transmission fluid, like my Accord, it could be an improvement!

I am going to go ahead and get my Camry title salvaged.

My Accord is currently cooperating.

I am listening to a radio right now. On a sidenote, this Wednesday I was interviewed for Kantar/Ibope in a poll about audience of local radio stations in my hometown.

Don't remember which thread I mentioned it, but on truck drives my girl would request specific songs, and I would keep explaining that we're at the mercy of the DJ.

Then I bought a $10 bluetooth to FM transceiver that can also charge 3 USB devices and monitor battery voltage. Technology sure is affordable these days.

I still prefer the radio; and it's either because I don't know the names of songs I like to compile it, or I like being pleasantly surprised by a fortunately timed song.

All that said, I spend only 10% of listening time on music, and 90% on podcasts or audiobooks. Introducing music to my daughter is one of those joys that "forces" me to to have fun.

Baby Shark...

Whatever my friend did, she was focused on her phone, not her driving, while driving 20 MPH.

Weird. My phone changed MPH to KPH--the third time. The first two it gave me random words, not the three letters I swyped.

It also Otto cow wrecked 20.

I never had a phone change numbers!

It also likes to put spaces before punctuation.

First accident yes, but what about second accident?

I was supposed to drive 2 hours and see 6 clients on Friday, on top of everything else, and as I left town another driver clipped my back bumper.

I hate that any of my cars get damaged further, but this car was already totaled, and already has visible damage.

As much as I wanted the idiot to fix my bumper, I just wanted to be on-time for work.

Clearly he intentionally hit my car because he immediately called the cops and claimed that I hit him.

Aside from making me over half an hour late for my first clients I don't think that anything will come out of it, which isn't nearly as satisfying as having a jerk fix the damage he did and get in trouble for filing a false report, but he was trying to get me charged, and have my insurance fix up his beater.

The bizarre thing is that he claimed that I passed him in the fast lane. No, he was in the inside lane as we turned left and I passed him on the right. The officer told someone on the phone that he totally saw where I hit the other driver and had me look at the damage that SUV did.

"Sir, someone in an SUV tried to turn left in front of me on November 15th, shattered that headlight, and damaged the bumper, hood, and the core support. Do you want to see pictures?"
"Did you file a report?"
"Yes Sir."
"What about these barely noticeable scuffs on your passenger side?"
"This is an old car with scuffs all over. All of those were already there when I bought the car less than a year ago and the guy hit me on the driver's side. Any damage would be there."

He never looked at the driver's side.

There is a clear scuff there, but not the end of the world.

He said an officer may call me back.

At what point can I resume ignoring my phone?

When my Squareback got rear-ended in Cedar Flat, it was the 80-something year old guy's first accident.

I pointed out the extent of the damage (right rear corner) to the insurance adjuster; but when he walked around to the other side of the car I knew it's fate was sealed.

It's a PITA to deal with insurance companies, and often even a damaged body panel can be repaired decently yet the car would be totalled. And since the Squareback relies on a body-on-platform layout, it could be fixed quite easily...

In the event, I let go of three Type IIIs at once. The drivable wreck and two restorable rollers. And began my Superbeetle adventures.
