Updates:

Well I parked the car for the winter and started tackling some rust repair and modifications I wanted done.

First I cut out the body shop's attempt to fix my quarter panel rust. Their "fix" made the rust much worse and it spread pretty badly over the past two years.

Then I started playing around:
*bought a new hood
*shaved the front and rear emblems
*shaved the antenna
*moved the drivers seat mounting bolts backward 3 inches for more leg room

Enjoy the pics

The car will be painted when the weather warms up enough. The car looks to be in a pretty rough state right now but I have had a lot of work smoothing out the body from 23 years worth of dings, dents and rust. I found a few holes through the floor that needed patched and other spots needed some attention.

Nice dude! And even more impressive that the work was done with a Harbor Freight Flux Welder and magnets I did some work with one of those also. Man, it's tough to work with that guy. Did you just "spot" weld all around, slowly, until you got a full seem? That was the only way I had any success with it. Using the "traditional" straight-line welding, it just burned through...

Love the SiR corners as well. Are they legit or replicas? Any lync you can share? I need to purchase some. Can't wait to see this out of paint. Keep us posted!

Its actually an Eastwood mig welder, I tried the harbor freight flux core welder on my CRX and just made a mess. You have to spot weld the quarter panels in so you dont put too much heat into the panels and warp them. They are fully welded in but by 1000's of tack welds.

The SIR corners are fakes off ebay from somewhere in eastern Europe. Got them for $30 I think.

Im painting it back to the stock color, shaved the emblems, antenna and will shave the front bumper licence plate holes as well

Well I finished block sanding the repairs and scuffed the rest of the body. I had tons of hail damage on the roof that needed straightened out.

Now its just a waiting game until the weather warms up enough to paint.

thanks for the encouragement guys. Its just a waiting game now until warmer weather hits. I am missing this car more and more everyday and cant wait to get it back on the road.

I have a 1000 mile road trip the Charlotte and back next week that unfortunately I have to take in my CRV since this car is parked for a while.
