My First 500+ Mile Tank Honda FIT

The weather has finally started turning in New Hampshire and along with it I had my first ever 500 mile tank. Not necessarily a feat in the FIT but it's my first since buying the car at the tail end of last summer. Winter is brutal on MPG here but I had been working on the nut behind the wheel and came close a few times. I suspect this won't be the last 500 mile tank. I didn't even really need gas when I filled up, the light had only just come on the last couple miles of the trip.

It's funny how as soon as you hit a goal, you set the next one and are no longer impressed with the one you just worked your a$$ off for. Haha.

I can't wait to see that again! I had my second 50+ mpg run to work this morning and can't wait for weather/timing/location issues to sort themselves out and start turning that into 500 mile tanks again. Once you get used to it, "only" 15 or so mpg and "only" 100 miles over factory expectations just lose their luster.
