I drove 550km with the taped tilted down spoiler. I held up realy nice. also noticed my rear window had alot less spay on it while driving. And i tought the spray came from under the car. I would think it did change it somewhat at the back. Still thinking of "filling" in the spoiler to roof part with a thin piece of plastic to smooth it out. As to test it. And maybe take some coroplast to lengthen the spoiler.

Today i went on and played a little with coroplast. First i took a large piece and put it on top to fill in the "dip" to the spoiler. And kept the whole length on. it looked nice and was about 25cm longer as it is at the end. But i didn.t have enough tape to fill in the sides. So i cut it off at about 6 7cm from the spoiler. and filled in the sides. The top part curved really nice. Then i used the rest of my tape to make it as flush as posible. Have to get me more tape and finish it off

Afther a while i went back here. And got more active with modding. So i took of all the tape at the front. And took a scrap peice of alluminum. I made a new template and cut it out of the alu (pic below). I made it so that i can take it of in 10seconds. And put it back on in 30 seconds. I had to bend it a couple of times to get the right shape. And still have to grind it down at the top. Then when i.m satisfied[/B] with the shape i will make a nice bafle for a nice look. And then i will paint i black like the rest of the bumpers. And i.m searcing for material for a airdam. I think it will do alot of good for the car. Also i will make a nice spoilerlip for my windshieldwipers. Because there is air coming under the wipers (see the pic)

At the moment we have a heat stroke in the netherland. 30/36C. So i keep a good eye on my temps. My air temp rises to 50/62 at 100km/h. But in traffic it rises to 72C. But my water temp is what suprises me. It runs up to 102C when the fan kicks in. It drops to 90 in about 30seconds. And then rises again to 102 in about 2 to 3 minutes.

Today i orderd new tires. Michelin energy saver+. On bigger steel rims (13 to 14) to have a slightly bigger diameter. And i.m curious as to what difference it will make against my winter tires (michelin alpine).

Are the current tires known as LRR?

Don't forget to adjust your fuel economy calcs if the new tire size is larger. Otherwise your gains may "disappear" from apparently less distance travelled.

No. The current winter tires aee of a soft compound and realy grippy in the snow. So i hope there is a noticable difference.

And that is a good idea to change it. But is only use my sg2 for the temps, rpm and an indication as to how my fe is. I drive over 1400 kilometer a week now. So the most accurate way is to do it at the pump. But i can notice that the pumps i used have altered their systems. And give less that on the dails.

I just change mine when I enter it in the fuel log. My odometer under-reports distance after I changed the transmission from one with a different wheel size.
