I understand your scraping issue.
I took the chin spoiler from a S10 P/U and fit it to my wifes Avalon.
It scrapes also.
However
She has noticed that the car sounds quieter on the highway and the scraping is only on hard bumps or in parking lots.
To sum up, She is happy with the way it looks and the scraping doesn't bother her enough for me to remove it and get wind noise back.
