The Skoda has had his maintenance after 18 months, no longer at the dealership, where a 12-month period is recquired, but for the first time at a recognized TDI specialist who also offers chiptuning and is interested in efficiency with these engines. It was him who initially suggested me to extend the maintenance periods to 24 months, since only longlife oil is used for this three-cylinder. In this way, costs are reduced while there is (virtually) no risk of engine damage, as long as the oil level is monitored.

He found my car special in many ways, the car is in excellent condition for it's age. Gave me two new products: 0W30 oil and a diesel injector cleaner. The first should make a cold start smoother and the first kilometres more fuel-efficient. The second product should help to clean the injectors of soot so that the combustion is optimal by allowing the injectors atomizing the fuel into the cilinder. Clogged up injectors are a common problem with the bosch-injectors, especially after chiptuning and the use of biodiesel. Europe drives on B7 diesel, which is at least 7% organic. Now, when the fuel enters the cylinder in different quantities, as in a beam instead of a mist, it causes incomplete combustion, a higher fuel consumption, more soot, resulting in blockage of EGR and DPF and eventually a lot of problems. It would also clean the rest of the engine internally and improve performance as consumption.

I received a free sample to add to the fuel tank and am curious if this will give noticeable results!

I wonder if you will see a difference with the additive. The theory sounds good, as with anything, but my internal sceptic... is too lazy to check for threads on additives on Ecomodder. Even in the Unicorn Corral.

But 0W30 oil should be the standard, at least in my opinion.
