My wheel covers

I found these plastic trays at a dollar store. And the stainless steel screws at the junkyard. Total cost = $4.32.

Ignore the foam sticking out of the rust holes!

Gasoline Fumes -

Excellent work! I have a "collection" of trays that I got over the years that were close but never fit my wheel. Soooooooooo, I am ready for many a picnic.

It looks like the tray already had a "center point" to help you make the holes, yes?

I measured the tray in the store. It was 15" in diameter, perfect for 14" wheels. I bought one and tried it in the parking lot. Looked like it would work so I went back in for three more.

Yes, there's a center point from the mold. The larger circle drawn on the tray was to verify that it really was the center. I left the lines because it looks extra geeky.

Throw a domed emblem in the center and you will have made a very nice facsimile of the 1L caps!

My opinion: You should paint over the lines with another shade of gray. It would add detail to the wheel.
Then you should do the other 3. I've long thought about Moon Discs painted body color with geometric shapes painted on them in a different color.

Anyway they look great and I love the mods you've made to your car so far.
The foam sticking out is especially "ecomodder-looking" |
Keep it up.

That puppy is doing better than my so-called premium, high tech diesel !

You really gotta do something about that rust, Fumes.
A bit of angle grinder / sanding paper work, a can of anti-rust paint, some glass cloth and a can of resin will stop it or at least slow it down lots.

That PUR foam internal reinforcement is pretty inventive though
