That is one episode I really would LOVE to watch! Too bad you have to pay $1.99 to watch it on youtube and I'm too cheap.

Their streamlining of the motorcycle had quite a bit of unneeded frontal area but it still resulted in a net gain in economy.

Brazilian Honda flexfuel motorcycle with a 150cc engine.
Fitted with EFI and catalytic converters, so it's not so much more pollutant per gallon than a compact car, then it might qualify as a "green" vehicle.

Interesting to see flex fuel technology making into the cheapest vehicles.

Nowadays the majority of Brazilian cars are flexfuel, including almost all of the cheapest econoboxes (just some recently-introduced Chinese ones don't feature flexfuel ability), but in the motorcycles it's still not so usual.

Is Brazil still doing the sugarcane-based ethanol?
I understand that an enormous oilfield was discovered offshore and I wondered if that event altered some of the state-planned alcohol programs.

I'd be surprised if they reduce cane-sugar production. They've got the land area and the ideal climate for it.

There's no way to shut-off the sugar cane-based ethanol production in Brazil.
