They basically drop a template "cage" over these cars in the inspection bay. There are VERY few things aerodynamics wise being done outside of the box they have to work within. I recalled the "bumper sticker" incident... amazing what will be done for an advantage. Most of their creativity is used with suspension design/geometry.
