I've owned 8 CRX's, I have driven a car with no power steering. I do know that a car with power steering disabled will be more difficult to drive, but not that much.

The CRXs are lighter than the later Civics. Like I said, the manual steering box (in addition to the lighter weight) is easier to drive, but by no means would your car be unreasonably hard to steer. A little more heft, but once you're above 15mph it's really no issue.

Now, if you were driving say, my '69 CST10 with a lovely iron 350 V8, that's another story. I tried driving it ONCE with out power steering. Even with the original 17" steering wheel still on it, I came back sweating. And this was in the winter.

"All I know about music is that not many people ever really hear it. [...] But the man who creates the music is hearing something else, is dealing with the roar rising from the void and imposing order on it as it hits the air. What is evoked in him, then, is of another order, more terrible because it has no words, and triumphant, too, for the same reason. And his triumph, when he triumphs, is ours." -Sonny's Blues
