Need help with Civic Kill Switch

Any one have problems with their civic kill switch? I have a 93 Civic VX with the injector ground interrupt kill switch and it sometimes "sticks" in the off position with obvious bad consequences. The check engine light normally comes on when I use the kill switch, then when I release it the light goes off with a 3 second delay. But sometimes the delay is much longer and I cannot restart the engine until the check engine light goes off. Today it took about 30 seconds before I was able to restart, and I had to pull over to the side of the road and wait for ti to reset. It also seems to be worse when it is warmer out.
Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

most likely your actual kill switch is going bad.

otherwise, you might have a loose connection at your wire splices that are causing an intermittent problem. Double check and reinforce your splices.
