Damn...

Are you sure the brake lights work?
Get some reflective tape and cover the back of the trunk?

Hope everyone is ok.

Paint the car.

Could try higher output bulbs. A silghtly off color red LED in the high mount or third brake light might help. The LED is at full intensity a fraction of a second sooner. I remember how bright the small blue lenses were that people occasionally had in their brake lights.

It is noted that the color red, used for fire fighting equipment, is one of the least visible of vehicle colors.
Same link as above.

Seems like a well thought out plan to use red for stop signs and traffic lights. Maybe it should have yellow, red then green.

My suburban is navy blue, had hazy, faided, dirty on the inside tail light lenses for years an no one hit it while it was moving.
Not it has new lenses with LEDs.

The first time it was sitting stopped at a light.
I later found out the guy that hit it was on New Mexicos revolving door prison system and was out on bond for vehicular manslaughter.
This time another car changed lanes into out car, just a stupid kid.

If everyone one the road drove like me I would own a motor cycle and drive around with no helmet.
Because people are idiots I have a suburban, installed over the top bright LED brake lights and run the loudest engine imaginable.

Some people just tend to act like a bunch of juveniles when they see a small car on the road, trying to compensate for something.
