Someone in the Pelican Parts forum where I posted it just compared it to the Pontiac Aztec.............................ruined it for me.

I still like it, just was an unexpected comparison.

I like their solution for rear visibility; using the louvers in place of glazing. So, it is (probably) not water tight, but it is less costly.

Edit: I see it has a glass window under the louvers - which seems clunky, now.

I think they were going for a Mustang fastback but I saw the Asstec in it as well.

The angle is too steep, would not fit the Aero-Template.

That said, I bet it's an improvement verses nothing at all.

If the louvers were v-shaped instead of straight then they may act like a step hull of a boat, reducing wetted area intern drag.
Making channels for the higher pressure on the sides to merge with the lower pressure center while minimizing disturbance of the front to back flow.
Im curious if the severe reduction in Reynolds number would mute any effect from this design in the air, or if the speed at which it works is too high for Road use.

The aerated water also exerts upward pressure (B) on running surfaces (C) to lift the hull, maintain a consistent trim angle and boost efficiency when the boat is on plane. All other things being equal, this can result in higher speeds — some estimates run 10 to 15 percent higher — versus a conventional V-hull.
