The Chinese tried a total lockdown. At the time it made sense; if they could contain it that might be the end of it.
By the time Italy realized it had a problem the pandemic was already unavoidable. Still, they could have done more to slow the spread.

It's a spectrum. I lean more toward the ancaps (anarcho-capitalist) than the anarcho-communistics.

But the feuds in the neighborhood the slumlord doesn't want to adjudicate may flare up.

Well it seems the threshold of deaths is exceeding the flu, and my interest in this topic has grown. My initial thoughts on the subject were incorrect, and I've learned a lot regarding this crisis mostly through podcasts that feature experts and just listening to rational people talking rationally about this.

My anxiety level is pretty unchanged in all this. The top stressors in my life are still in their respective place, with this virus way down on my list of worries. There's a small amount of stress added due to needing to handle my rental property appropriately, and thinking about how to position resources in response to the changing market.

The flu has been around for hundreds or thousands of years and, since you have had it in the past, you are resistant to getting new strains, and so are most people, so it is less likely to be transmitted from person-to-person.
