New England plug-in electric vehicles gets a socket. Northeast Utilites will get federal funding for the region's first charging network in Connecticut & Massachusetts. My question is the viablity of first-gen electric vehicles in a four-season area of the country. It could be a tough & harsh testbed for hot-cold test range of the available electric vehicles in the market. The usual temperate zones of the country would have been an easier & successful transition of the nascent technologies & materials of E-vehicles. But its a good start.
