New to Ecomodding.

I'm a new ecomodder, and I'm looking for a bit of direction on where to go with my '93 Sentra XE. I'm thinking that a lexan grille/valance block and a set of clear lexan wheel covers would be the best way to take the first step on the cheap, since I'm already hitting a consistent 35-40 MPG (calculated tank-to-tank).

Any suggestions on where I should start? Aeromods or possibly a MPGuino, so I can have real-time feedback.

Also, does anyone have experience setting up a MPGuino on a B13 Sentra?

Sorry no answers for you. I was wondering how you planned on doing a grill block-off with lexan. I was thinking it might be better than blocking behind the grill but I can't figure out hows to attach it, maybe bolts through the grill.

Real time MPG will help you drive for best fuel mileage, what speed helps best, what driving style works best. Some here think it is better than tank to tank, but I don't think it is as accurate.

I would start with the MPGuino as pjbgravely said it's not as accurate as tank to tank but it will show you where the most efficient ranges are. From there it will help in determining effects of aero and other improvements.

The low-hanging fruit is still waiting to be picked, in the area of driver behavior, so get the mpguino first. 80-90% of mpg gains come from slowing down, planning routes to avoid high speeds and stops, and coasting. Ecomods account for only ~10%, unless you go whole hog like the AeroCivic.
