Talking New guy to EM

Hi,

I am a Structural Designer from South Africa.
I own the following vehicles:

1998 Land Rover Defender 300Tdi
2005 Audi A4 2.0 Tdi (currently down after cambelt failure)
1998 Land Rover Discovery Tdi (wife's car)

The Audi averaged 4.6liter/100km, but is currently down after a cambelt failure.
This leaves me with using the Overlanding vehicle to drive to work

Welcome to the forum, Jan.

Too bad about the belt! Is it an interference engine in that Audi - ie. more than just a belt to replace? I don't believe we have the option of a diesel A4 in the North American market yet.

Welcome! I take it that both Land Rover's are stick shift? That should help.

I wish we had more diesel options here!

Yep, both Land Rovers have the R380 5 speed manual gearbox.

The Audi A4 has a 6 speed manual gearbox.....awesome
