New guy here

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking around here for awhile reading about some of the crazy stuff in the aerodynamics forum and thought I'd finally sign up.

Who I am:

- I have my roots in the automotive racing world (not too environmentally friendly)
- I am a professional engineer
- I work in the aerospace and defense industry

I have a Mercedes 240D that is my "bio friendly" car. I also have a Lotus Elise which I consider to be the most environmentally friendly "exotic" car that is out there right now except from the Tesla (it's close cousin).

The similarities between racing modifications and eco-modding are ironically very similar.

Anyway, I'll probably be lurking more then I'm posting but I just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome to EM! When I went to look at exotic cars in LA with my super-car-bonkers nephew, the Elise was the only one that displayed it's MPG sticker. It was something like 24/28 MPG. Power to weight ratio has always been my standard for car performance. My favorite car I never got was a Beck 550 Spyder kit car. 0-60 in 4.4 seconds in 1984!
